InVision Gives Back with Giving Tree

The holiday season is upon us. Typically, it’s a time of celebration, comfort, and joy, but for others it can be a lonely and depressing time.

People with disabilities are particularly vulnerable to these feelings since many either don’t have family or don’t live close enough to family or friends with whom they can celebrate.

At InVision, we’re proud of our generous and thoughtful DSPs who have been quietly ensuring each person we support is able to enjoy the holidays year after year. From inviting them to join in their family traditions to buying presents to helping deck the halls with season-appropriate decorations, DSPs were, and still are, the driving force behind what has become InVision’s Giving Tree.

InVision launched Giving Tree in 2017 so the people we support could experience the surprise and joy of opening presents during the most wonderful time of the year while easing some of the pressure on DSPs to create a perfect holiday. In the spirit of the season of giving, we collect the wish lists of the people we serve so anyone and everyone can pitch in to make their holiday season magical

No matter your reason for the season, there’s something about the excitement behind tearing through wrapping paper or eagerly awaiting the surprise that lies beyond the tissue paper. Gifts are fun for everyone, but for the people we serve, they’re an important reminder of the support they have in their pursuit of a meaningful life.

InVision’s DSPs continue to be the biggest supporters of the people we serve, especially around the holidays, but we can’t thank the folks who purchase gifts or donate enough for their generosity and dedication to fostering a joyful holiday spirit for the people we support.
