Staff Spotlight: Andy Eisenbarth
Andy is the man behind InVision's social media, emails, and other communications.
What’s your name?
What is your role at InVision?
I am the Communication Specialist, and I’ve worked in our growing Marketing Department here for slightly over four years.
In this role, I manage our social media pages and website content, work with department heads on marketing initiatives, occasionally take pictures and videos at various Community Connections Events, and compose and/or send company-wide or constituent-based emails on behalf of various people and departments, among many other things.
What do you like most about working with InVision?
The culture and room for growth in the whole organization, but specifically the Marketing Department, is exciting. Plus, with us being only a two-person team (Marjie Foster and myself) on the communications and marketing side of things when I started, I got to taste and learn a lot of new skills; not only posting things on social media, but also designing them as well, working closely with all levels of our leadership team, writing and executing event marketing plans, and plenty more. Seeing the passion in the people we support, our DSPs, other InVision employees, and those throughout the industry is pretty awesome, too.
What are you most proud of as a professional?
I’m proud to have built up InVision’s presence on social media quite substantially in a short period of time, helped to nearly double our Fall Festival attendance from year two to three using social media marketing almost exclusively, beefed up our library of photos and videos as a whole, and helped implement more efficient processes across the board.
When you’re not working, what do you usually do?
I am typically out doing some type of physical activity – running, biking, working out, playing disc golf or volleyball, working on house projects, hanging with friends, watching or attending Pittsburgh sporting events, or binging something on Netflix. Some of these aren’t able to be done in our current quarantining state, but when they’re back, know that I’ll be out there.
If you had to eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Something with cheese in it… let’s go with Mac n Cheese.
What might someone be surprised to learn about you?
I’ve re-watched The Office all the way through probably 10+ times, Parks & Rec 5+ times, How I Met Your Mother 5+ times, and New Girl 3+ times… and that was all pre-quarantine. I have trouble trying new things…
