Holly is InVision’s Facilities Supervisor for the Western Region and helps manage the properties InVision maintains for the people we support.
What’s your name?
What is your role at InVision?
Facilities Supervisor, Getter of All the Things.
I work with the Western Region Maintenance Team to make sure repairs are done for our homes. I search for homes for new and existing supported individuals, and I am involved in the process of seeing a home to getting a lease to setting it up and eventually maintaining the home. The Facilities Department and I also maintain the services to the home and order items for individuals based on their desires and needs. I’ve recently joined the very exciting Smart Home Technology Workgroup which will focus on the future of using technology to build more independence for the people we support.
How long have you worked at InVision?
8 years. I was hired as a temporary administrative assistant for Creative Connections in February 2012.
What do you like most about working with InVision?
I love that we get to see the lives of the people we support change for the better, and sometimes I get to play a role in making a bad day for someone better. I especially love helping to make their living spaces more comfortable and homier for them.
What are you most proud of as a professional?
I’ve come so far in my knowledge of facilities and project management since I joined the Facilities team in 2014. I never thought I would come into a department I knew so little about and grow into where I am now. ’m also proud of the accomplishments that my department has made and the role we’ve played in our pursuit of helping the people we support live their everyday lives.
When you’re not working, what do you usually do?
I spend time with my kiddo and husband, bowl, hike, camp, kayak, journal, and occasionally binge watch television.
If you had to eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
What might someone be surprised to learn about you?
I used to study opera in college.
